Teaching Classical Studies Across Curricula: A Zoom roundtable organized by The Classical Outlook with the American Classical League and the Society for Classical Studies, Wednesday, October 22, 2025, 7:30pm EST.

A panel of K-12 and college educators will describe in lightning mode how they have applied interdisciplinary or cross-disciplinary approaches in their classics teaching, engaging such areas as athletics, technology, globalism, comparatism, critical pedagogy, and the creative arts. The session will be open for all participants to ask questions and join the discussion.

There are gifts that bring a restitutive expansiveness to the life of the mind, and the Renata Poggioli Award is one of them. My grant proposal set out two intentions: to visit sites in Italy that had eluded previous itineraries, and to seek places that would nourish my doctoral work in Comparative Literature, where Ovid, Augustine, Dante, and Bonaventure are constant interlocutors.
