ASCSA Funding: March 2025 Deadlines

The American School of Classical Studies at Athens has three application deadlines for research funding coming up on March 15th:

HARRY BIKAKIS FELLOWSHIP: North American or Greek graduate students researching ancient Greek law or Greek graduate students working on a School excavation. Stipend of $1,875. School fees are waived either for the duration of the field project or for the academic year during which the fellow is carrying out research at the ASCSA.

COULSON/CROSS AEGEAN EXCHANGE: CAORC sponsored program: Short-term funding for Greek nationals and scholars to pursue research in Turkey under the auspices of the American Research Institute in Turkey. Stipend of $250 per week plus up to $500 for travel expenses. Fellowship term can be between two weeks to three months. Submit online application to ASCSA.

JOAN AND EUGENE VANDERPOOL FELLOWSHIP AT THE ATHENIAN AGORA: For PhD holders and graduate students working on any aspect of the Athenian Agora from antiquity to the present are eligible. Open to all nationalities. The fellowship includes a stipend and a waiver of up to two months of membership fees for the duration of residency in Athens while working on the proposed project. The award is to be used between July 1, 2025 and June 30, 2026.
