Classical language educators at all levels are invited to join us for a one-day
workshop on evidence-based practices for teaching Latin and Ancient Greek. This
year’s topic is teaching grammar communicatively. How do second language
learners acquire the knowledge and use of syntax and morphology? How can we
use the insights of second language acquisition (SLA) research to create more
effective grammar lessons? How can we break out of the endless cycle of verb
    drills and paradigm charts?

Although this workshop is especially designed for early career classical language
educators, e.g. those who are new to secondary school teaching or graduate
students teaching or TAing language courses for the first time, all Latin and Greek
    teachers are welcome to participate.
