Valentine’s Day Resources

It’s that time of year again, and valentines are a wonderful way to get students thinking about Latin phrases.  Even half a class period devoted to this makes them happy!  Colored paper, pens and even some lace or ribbon that you might have around the house can turn into great cards and posters.  Students can bring in pictures of Cupid or Eros, too.  Each card should have a Latin phrase (that you approve of, of course!).  If your school allows, hang them around the walls of your classroom and in the hall – generate interest in Latin.  It’s really fun!  Here are a slew of words/phrases and even poems that work well.
