The deadline for the following awards and grants is tomorrow, January 15!
The Cornelia Catlin Coulter Memorial Rome Scholarship is an award of $6,000 for study at the Summer Session of the School of Classical Studies at the American Academy in Rome. All applicants must have been members of CANE in good standing for at least two full and consecutive years immediately prior to the year in which they apply for the award.
The CANE Endowment Scholarship is an award of up to $5,100 for summer study normally at the American School of Classical Studies at Athens or at places other than the American Academy in Rome.
The Renata Poggioli Award, established by the Boston Fund in 1991, funds study and/or travel in Italy and/or Greece typically during the summer months. The CANE Scholarship Committee makes the Award, generally between $4,000- $6,000, every other year.
The M. Alison Frantz Fellowship in Post-Classical Studies at the Gennadius Library of the American School of Classical Studies in Athens, for PhD candidates, or recent PhDs (up to five years) in Late Antiquity, Byzantine Studies, post-Byzantine Studies, or Modern Greek Studies.
 
The deadlines for the CANE Certification Scholarship and CANE Discretionary Grants is February 1. The Certification Scholarship will provide up to $1,500 to an outstanding junior or senior undergraduate in New England who is preparing for secondary school certification as a teacher of Latin and/or Greek; or to the holder of a Master’s degree to cover the cost of tuition and other fees required to obtain such certification. The Discretionary Grants are available to classroom teachers for class projects, research, and classroom materials.
