Nominate someone for the Phyllis B. Katz Prize

As the fall semester closes, please consider nominating a talented undergraduate’s paper for the Phyllis B. Katz Prize for excellence in undergraduate research, or see our Scholarships, Funding, and Awards page. (You can also encourage a student to self-nominate.) The prize is granted to a research paper, written by an undergraduate student, with focus on some aspect of ancient Mediterranean languages, literature, history or culture. The winning paper will be read by the recipient of the prize during the Annual Meeting of CANE, generally as the first paper in the Saturday session (the paper should be designed for a 15-minute presentation). The winning student will receive an award of $200, free registration for the meeting, and the cost of hotel accommodations if needed. The application deadline is February 15, 2022, and submissions should be sent to this email: immpastpres@caneweb.org.
