Come to the Annual Meeting!

You can now register for the CANE Annual Meeting. It is being held at Smith College from March 18th-19th.
We’ve touted the benefits of conferences before. But let’s review in case you’ve never been to one or haven’t been in a while.

  • Listen and interact with presenters who are on the cutting edge of our field. Whether you go to paper sessions or workshops, you will undoubtedly hear about new breakthroughs, analyses, pedagogies, and strategies. These can help trigger new ideas of your own. Even if you don’t agree with a particular angle, the exposure to it broadens your horizon.
  • Network with people from a wide spectrum of specialties all across New England (and beyond!) Teachers and professors teaching so many different ages, abilities, and programs have a unique chance to meet and connect. You can even try out your Latin conversation skills (completely optional) during lunch.
  • Browse through the vendors and CANE’s own Emporium. There are often deals, and you can pick up those Latin pencils you’ve always wanted, that old copy of Horace, or peruse the new textbooks. It is great to see all of these items in one place in a way that browsing Amazon simply can’t replicate.

So, we hope you’ll join us. Sign up now!
